ACRYLIC YARNS
Acrylic fibers are an important category of man-made fibers produced from acrylonitrile, a petrochemical. With excellent bulkiness, color ability, adaptability with other fibers, soft feel and elasticity, acrylic fibers are perfectly suited to a wide variety of applications, being used in weaving, knitting and home furnishing. Acrylic fibers are one of the most used synthetic fibers and due to its low thermal conductivity, good shape retention and durability properties, they have a large application in knitted garment industry.
Such properties closely resemble those of wool, and hence the most common use of acrylics in apparel and carpets is as a wool replacement.
Acrylic fibers can be twisted to various tightness, blended with natural fibers during spinning, and otherwise heat-threated to produce a wide range of yarn types.
SAVIO SOLUTIONS FOR ACRYLIC YARN PROCESSING
Many years of experience and a close collaboration with customers have allowed Savio to offer several solutions for production of acrylic yarns.
The effect of the Volufil process gives acrylic fibers dimensional stability, higher volume, wrinkle resistance or temperature resistance, which acquires a regular geometrical structure with excellent volume.
“Multicone” technology and Sirius twisting machines are also addressed to our customers producing acrylic packages for dyeing, knitting and home furnishing.
